Ancient Texts, UFO Files and Strange History, Sourced
Two hundred Watchers landing on Mount Hermon, a fish-man who taught Babylon to write, Roman ships gleaming in the sky, and the UFO and UAP files governments have since released: read what each record actually says, then follow any name deeper.
Credible Theories collects strange things that have a real paper trail: old texts, government files and UFO and UAP reports. Every page links its sources and keeps the record apart from the speculation.

Strangest facts this week
- Nephilim: Genesis says the Nephilim were on earth "also after that," so the Bible's own wording has them surviving, or returning after, the Flood meant to erase them.
- The divine council (sons of God): In Psalm 82, God sentences the gods of the council to mortality, telling them they "shall die like men."
- Ark of the Covenant: Only one outside scholar is known to have seen the object at Aksum: Edward Ullendorff said in 1941 it was an empty wooden box of medieval make.
- Etana: Etana's flight is described as a series of views in which the earth shrinks stage by stage until it disappears, written more than 3,500 years before anyone could see it from altitude.
- Skidbladnir: The text insists the folding works because the ship is "made of so many things and with such cunning", an explanation based on construction, not on a spell.
- Yaldabaoth: Yaldabaoth's famous claim to be the only god is the very moment that reveals his ignorance, and his own mother rebukes him for it.

Questions people ask about Credible Theories
What is Credible Theories?
Credible Theories is a free site about strange and unexplained things that have a real paper trail: the oddest passages in the world's old books, declassified government files, UFO and UAP reports, and little-known research programs. Every page links to its sources so you can check them yourself.
Where do the quotes on this site come from?
Quotations come from translations that are in the public domain in the United States, such as the King James Version and R. H. Charles's Book of Enoch. Newer translations are cited and linked, never copied. Government documents are linked to the agency's own release.
Does Credible Theories say aliens or giants are real?
No. Each page gives what the record says, then the mainstream or official explanation, and only then, clearly marked, what a literal reading would mean. A separate page checks famous ancient-astronaut claims against the actual tablets, and many of them turn out to be misquotes.
