About
About and Standards
Credible Theories collects strange and unexplained things that have a real paper trail: the strangest passages in the world's old books, declassified government files, UFO and UAP reports, and research programs most people never heard of. Every page links to its sources, so you can follow one thread into the next and check it yourself.
How does Credible Theories check its facts?
Every page links to the primary document first, then to reference works, and keeps the record apart from speculation.
- Every page has sources. The primary document first (the ancient text, the FBI or CIA file, the official report), then reference works.
- Record and speculation stay apart. Each page has what the record says, the mainstream or official explanation, and, clearly marked, what a literal reading would mean.
- Public-domain words only. Quotations come from translations out of copyright. See Sources and Copyright.
- We correct the myths. Misquotes checks famous ancient-astronaut claims against the tablets.
How is Credible Theories paid for?
